Superior Design --- digital that doesn't sound "digital"!

Digital Amplifier Company was established in the 1990s, and our amplifier design experience goes back to the 1980s. We produce superior amplifiers. Our patented technology overcomes the key issues that plague solid state amps and tubes. We deliver the detail. High power with super low noise and distortion. We deliver sound so good, you'll hear things in your existing music collection that you never knew were there. It's all about precision. We sell direct and hand build each unit to offer this amazing technology at a very reasonable price. Our customers know quality when they see (and hear) it, and they appreciate the difference a great amp can make.

About our Technology

Our products feature amazing specs. How do we do it? Well, our patented technology "cleans up" the main problem with other amplifiers. If you'd like to know more, sign up for our newsletter so you can receive our technical white paper when we send it out to our subscribers. It's due out this summer.

Where to Use DAC4800A or Cherry

Here is a list of common applications:

Ultimate Home Theater
Pro Recording Studio
Reference Audio System
Home Studio
Professional Audio
Music System (PC)

The Typical Review

Our customers often write us to rave about our amplifiers! Here's one we consider "typical":

"The Cherry amp is even better than the DAC4800A. For one, it looks awesome with a really thick and pretty brushed aluminum face plate. The deep red color looks fantastic in a stack of equipment or out in the open. It's also 10 pounds heavier than the DAC4800A, and has a giant 1500W transformer! Just like the DAC4800A, it's built like a tank. The most important difference is the added headroom (yes, even more!), which you can really hear.

These are some of my previous comments about the DAC4800A that are also applicable here:
Sonics are just about perfect. It did great with old recordings like Jazz Singer (Neil Diamond) and Sinatra (Reprise Collection). I listened to Maroon 5 and the punch was there. I listened to a Telarc 1812 disc and nearly blew the windows out with the cannon shots! Some Diana Krall (World on a String) sounded live. Great job!

The Cherry is recommended even more enthusiastically than DAC4800A."

Other Products and Applications

Our customers also tell us where they us the DAC4800A or Cherry Amplifier. One "new" use can be thought of as a super-high-power iPod Docking Station:

"I hooked it up with the XLR adapters and a stereo phono to RCA cable. Now I can blast my iPod (or other MP3 player)! Of course I have other sources, but lossless recordings get it to the next level. I'm looking for a direct-digital method now to get my lossless into a D/A, then the DAC4800A, hopefully with volume control."

Feel free to write us if you have a solution!

Our customers even tell us about other products they compare with our amps:

"Other amps in this class like Musical Fidelity, Moon (Simaudio), Nagra, Theta, and Krell are actually more expensive, even in the tens of thousands."

...and this one:

"I'm most familiar with Balanced Audio, Krell, Bryston, Classe, VTL, Cary and McIntosh amps. I haven't done head-to-head comparisons, but I'd suspect the DAC amp is able to take on any of them. For speakers, I like Wilson (Watt), Sonus, Paradigm, Martin Logan (ESL hybrid), Dunleavey, Quad (ESL), Dali and Mission. Even though I haven't heard the 4800 amp with all these, I'd like to. A friend of mine has B&W, and he said they are hard to drive, so I recommended the DAC amp. This amp is low priced compared to amps of similar quality. Lots and lots of headroom. Highly recommended."
